Your personal focus

Team visibility without losing your own way to work.

A shared Board tells the team what is happening. Private View tells you what to do next. Organize assigned work into Today, Tomorrow, This Week, and Later without changing the Board or exposing your personal plan.

Why teams use Ping Boards

One team workflow

Create columns around how your team actually delivers work, not how a generic template expects you to work.

Clear ownership

Every assignment creates a visible handoff and keeps the task in the right person's Private View.

Less personal noise

Plan your assigned tasks by time without hiding the shared context your teammates need.

How to get started with Kanban

  1. Create a Board. Give the team a shared space and add the people who need to collaborate there.
  2. Set up your columns. Use columns that reflect the team's real flow, such as New tasks, In progress, Review, and Done.
  3. Add and assign tasks. Assign work to a teammate, take it yourself, or leave it open for anyone on the team to pick up.
  4. Plan your own tasks. Open Private View to arrange assigned work by when you want to do it, without changing the shared Board.

Kanban for teams FAQ

What is a Kanban board in Ping?

A Ping Board is a shared Kanban view where a team can add tasks, create columns that match its workflow, and move work between those columns while keeping ownership visible.

Can a board contain tasks from different projects?

Yes. One board can combine tasks from several projects, which makes it useful for a team workflow such as Marketing, Content, or Support rather than only one project.

Can I keep a private task view as well?

Yes. Tasks assigned to you appear in your Private View as well as on the shared Board. You can organize that personal view into Today, Tomorrow, This Week, and Later without changing the team's board.

What happens when a task is assigned to me?

You receive a notification and the task appears in your Private View. It remains visible on the shared Board too, so the team can see the work without taking away your personal planning space.
